Tom Alcorn graduated from MIT with a degree in mathematics and now works as a software engineer at Join. Previously he worked at Flux.io and Everquote. On the side he teaches software engineers how to do math and computers how to learn. He also enjoys working on his motorcycles.
Dan is our in-shop Architect and Senior Computational Designer, previously an Associate at NBBJ and leader of Design Computation practice. His work includes spatial sensing, algorithms for human experience, and interfaces for choosing building futures. Dan taught as an M ARCH at Oregon and a visiting professor in Barcelona, and has BS in engineering from Stanford.
Before co-founding Join, Drew was a tech lead at Flux.io, where she led development of Flux's Site Extractor tool and contributed to numerous other products. Before Flux she was Palantir working on large scale data visualization. Her undergraduate work was at MIT.
Ye's background prior to co-founding Join is in mechanical CAD and 3D printing. She was a principal software engineer on the computational modeling team at Onshape. Prior, she developed the first open platform for additive manufacturing at Autodesk (Spark). She did her undergraduate and masters at MIT, working with Wojciech Matusik.
In a past life, Andrew was a Director of Engineering at Flux.io, where he led teams focused on interoperability and backend infrastructure. Prior to that, he worked on customized medical devices at Bespoke Innovations and 3D Systems. His undergraduate work was at Rice University. Andrew is Join's CEO.
